Ron Barnhardt What started out as a $150 field find turned into this fine restoration by the time automotive scribe John Smith was through.  It was used as a feature car restoration for Mustang and Fords Magazine in 1992. The car received a no cost spared restoration. Every nut and bolt was replaced using only the very best of everything. It has been featured in many magazines (as shown in this website’s “Literature” section) and was also a cover car and poster car for Summit Racing.  It has also been featured on the TV show “My Classic Car” and also the History Channels “Automobiles” show.  It has won many Best in Show awards across the country including the mega All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA.  Good Luck to its new owner, Ron Barnhardt.
This actually is the car which got me interested in 7-Litres, and more importantly, introduced me to the fine gentleman who created it.  This car will always be reverently referred to as “The John Smith 7-Litre” within the 7-Litre fraternity.  - Editor

Jay Leno Factory 4 speed car.  One of 1,717 built in 1966.  Frame off restoration completed in May of 2000.  Options:  428 C.I.D. Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Reverb Radio. This car was purchased by Jay in September of 2008, with the idea to transform the car into the one Jay helped his Dad order back in 1966 when he was 18. It will be re-done in Vintage Burgundy to match his Dad's. It also sports a black interior like his Dad's. The main difference is that this one is a 4 speed whereas his Dad's was a C-6. Look for the video on the car on Jay's website.

Douglas Lombardo Third owner of the car. It is originally out of Georgia and stayed there all of its life. It is now in Illinois.I have spoken to the original selling dealers son,and he unequivally stated to me that he remembers this car. The day it was delivered, he and his dad and a mechanic took the car out for a ride to see what the new 428 would do. He stated to me that the speedometer hit a hundred before they knew what was happening! He was a young at the time and it was quite a scare for him. It has had only a repaint. When I bought the car the original engine was not in it but came in the deal. I rebuilt it and now it has the original engine, transmission, and rear end.
