Glenn Walton

Glenn purchased this car on Craigslist in April of 2009. This is an original 1966 7-litre, that was listed as being, "in a partial tear down condition, a mechanics special". The car is actually in very solid shape needing only minimal work to get it ready for paint. The car has a beautiful Parchment interior, which is original and the very rare reclining passenger's seat with head rest. The car also came with an 8-track, which is no longer with the car. The seller included lots of original documents as well

A heck of a find. Nice car Glenn - Editor

Car was built in Kentucky and sold in Indiana where it resided most of its life until the early 1990's where it made its trek to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Car has been repainted once (1993) original red color. Car has the original black interior all badging correct and intact, everything works, lights, radio, interior lights, wipers etc. Car came equiped with a 428 4V with a Cruise-O-Matic 3 spd Automatic transmission. Car currently has a 4 speed top loader Large spline mated to a 390 2V. I do not know who installed the 4 speed transmission but it looks like a stock install with correct parts and locations and pedels etc ( not molested). I have a 1968 428 CJ that was to be installed when rebuild complete. Frame and floors are solid.

According to Steve, the car is back where it belongs in the good ole USA - Editor

The Great Car Maker in the Sky

An Arcadia Blue hardtop with Parchment interior, this oldtimer was found by one of our spiesl, as it was being parted out on ebay. It was an automatic and had the rare reverb unit. There was not much left to make it worth saving, so this one ended up at the crusher.

RIP to a fair lady who wasn't found in time- Editor

The owner of this car was selling many Galaxie and 7-Litre parts on eBay.  Our researchers contacted the seller and discovered he had a 7-Litre being parted out.   A quick read of the data plate determined that another original 4-speed hardtop had been found.  The car is located in rural Alabama and is literally stuck in the woods some 50 yards from the nearest road.  The owner bought it for a mere $200, and not knowing what he had, only had intentions of parting it out.  Though much of this car has now been picked clean, Steve hopes to sell what is left and save this car.  He realizes this is a piece of Ford history.  The shell you see here went up on eBay, May 2009.With the 4-speed, this car left the Chicago assembly plant with a Candy Apple Red exterior, Black interior, and a Black vinyl top.

May be worth saving considering the Rarity - Editor

The car is being sold by a guy selling for a guy that is holding the car for collateral from another guy!!!!!!!!!!   In other words we don't have an owner's name or address.  The car is complete, runs/drives but needs everything, paint, interior, rebuilds, rust repair in trunk.  He also won't let it go for less than $10,500 because that is what the guy owes him.

Update. They now want $15,000 for the car, because they found out how rare 7-Litre's are.

How many guys does it take to hold a 7-Litre for ransom? - Editor

Factory 4 Speed!  Car is in excellent condition. New paint. New suspension. The floor pans, trunk and Doors are solid. Engine has a fresh rebuild. This car had spent its life in Colorado, and reflects it. The car runs very well and strong.  There are no rattles and it drives like a new car.  The interior was changed to black. The carpet, the headliner and the front seat covers have been replaced.  All the trim is in place and in very good condition.  It has new exhaust and new tires. A very complete car.

Overall this classic is in very good condition. Exterior has a few fust spots, scratches, nicks and dings with cracking paint on the driver side fender(see photos). Also has the original fender skirts for rear quarter panels. Interior is in excellent condition. Radio does not work. Engine runs strong and is still young with only 82,072 miles. There is a power steering leak and the fuel gauge does not work. Tires and spare are brand new. Has extra parts such as new rear lenses, mouldings, water pump, and a extra rear deck lid.

I purchased my 7 litre from the original owner. The only factory option is AM/FM radio. Justfinished a frame off restoration. This is a rare factory Vintage Burgundy and Black paint scheme.

Henri attended his first show after restoring the car..the Draggin's indoor show, 350 plus entries. He won 3th place for muscle car 1966 to1988. Not bad for first show with the car. Nice job Henri!

The body has very little rust damage. The frame is solid.  The worst part of the car is the back trunk lower seal panel above the bumper. This will require metal repair work as no replacement panels are available. The bumpers are sold but will need rechroming. The stainless steel trim are all there the fender lip moldings I have not found replacements for, do have the orignals ones.  The hood and trunk spear will need rechroming, but are good cores and straight. The fender emblems have perfect rechromes with correct red inlay.  The interior is complete and will need reupholstering. This car has air conditioning with most of the parts for it. condenser, evap and compressor. The engine and trans are orginal to the carwith rebuilt autolite  carb with the larger venturis for it. The radiator was recored. Have new trunk seal and door sill seals. have new heater core. Good used replacement headlight bezels and tail light assemblies. Have good used hood letters.
