The car is pretty basic for a 7 litre. It had a vinyl top but I decided to remove it and fill the holes. I had it repainted about 10 years ago in a Ford truck color that is a little lighter than original. I also did the "John Smith" disc brake change so I could put the mags on. Other than a Pertronix ignition, the car is pretty stock. I drive it all the time to work, weather permitting, about 45 miles round trip.I have owned the car since 1991 and bought it locally more or less as a "barn find". I had a '66 S-55 at the time, and a fellow I worked with said his son had a car similar to mine that he wanted to sell. I expected a Galaxie of some sort, but not a 7 Litre, and certainly not a 4 speed car. I paid something like $1500 for it, but I'm not sure it was worth much more. The previous owner had it for about 5 years but didn't know about any previous history. |

The Car is solid and the engine was rebuilt in 1996. The suspension has been replaced. The brake system was converted to DOT5 fluid. Jeremy cycled fresh oil through it, flushed the coolant and replaced all fuel lines fuel tank and fuel pump. I added a pro-form built Holley 750 double pumper and she runs like a champ. He plans to restore it, but hasn't decided on a color yet. He will leave it a vinyl top car.The car was found by his uncle Jimmy who owns another 66 Galaxie with a 390 he planned to use it for parts. After towing it home he couldn't bring himself to part it out. One of his friends noticed the badges and let him know what he had. He began restoring it in 1995 but had too many projects and it was banished to the storage building. He needed space to work on his other projects and it found a new home with Jeremy. |

Bill purchased the car in November of 2006 with 68,128 miles on the odometer which he believes is correct. Since it was last inspected in 1989, it had only 30 additional miles showing. He has since rebuilt the original 428, overhauled the brakes, suspension, completed all the bodywork and repainted the car and replaced the carpet and headliner. He has put 6,000 miles on the car since April of 2010 with no issues. Car has optional power steering and tinted windows. He upgraded the paint from Arcadian blue to the more popular Sapphire blue. |
