Dylan Essner

Dylan purchased this convertible in 2016. The car has a standard 428 cubic inch engine, (73,000 miles), factory modified C 6 transmission, 9 3/8 - 3:25 rear axle, Ivy green metalic with ivy gold interior.  The cars accessories are power steering, am radio and seat belt warning light. Over the past 10 years he had been brought back to its present factory original condition.  The only added accessories are dealer installed chrome dress up kit for the engine and a fan shroud. It has a copy of the original Ford title from a dealership in Baltimore, Md.  The dealer is still in business in that area.

Glenn Walton Here is a nice unrestored Convertible with 77,000 original miles. Minimal rust on all original sheetmetal. Has nice Parchment interior and original Emberglo finish. Trunk is in good shape as well and sports original Burtex Mat. Car runs well and still has it's factory KH Disc Brake system. Glenn took possession of the car in May of 2009, thus ending his quest for a matching set of 7-Litres. He is now the proud owner of a Emberglo and Parchment Hardtop and Emberglo and Parchment Convertible (see Registry #3119 on HT photos page 13, for his Hardtop).

This one had been in the Registry for quite a while, but we never had pictures of it. One of our agents spotted it online and got the images to us- Editor

Steve Candy apple red convertible with red interior and white top and AT. The car is complete with the exception of hubcaps.  It did run and shift when parked years ago but smoked. Off the road for over 5 years.  I did start it briefly about a month ago.  The 428 doesn't seem to have ever been touched and appears to be totally stock right down to the air cleaner.  The odometer shows 49,428 miles (maybe 149,000 miles?)

Ron Barnhardt

The latest addition to the growing Barnhardt collection, this convertible was once owned by a fellow by the name of Kevin from Rostock, Ontario just north and west of Stratford. Kevin bought that car around 2000 or so. Before that it was owned Alan Montgomery of Burlington, Ontario. It is currently in need of a full restoration, but it is a factory correct Candy Apple red car, with Red Interior. We are sure Ron will bring it back to its former glory.

Mark Whitmer

Mark showed up at 2009 Carlisle Ford Nationals with this beautiful convertible. The crowd must have agreed, because he took 3rd place in our division. While it was originally an Ivy green car, it now sports some updating like a nice Sapphire Blue paint scheme, updated brakes and master cylinder. It has 16" wheels. It was also converted from automatic to 4 speed. The car has the rare optional convenience package.

Welcome Mark to the 7-Litre Group- Editor

Larry

Larry is the 5th owner since 2001,it was made in st louis, 2 owners in st.louis then off to cincinnatti oh where most of restoration was done then to lake ozark mo where he bought it from. The Ohio owner kept quite a detailed list on what was all done to motor, list of pieces replaced and so on. The passenger rear floor board was patched. This is pretty much the way he bought the car. All he changed was valve covers and still retain stock metal covers, has factory air,was converted but he never used it. He has a set of stock hubcaps that are part of package as well as all info and paint that he got with it. "(side note) Saturday at ford carlisle I saw my car's twin but it was an auto on the floor!!"

The car he is referencing is Garnet Ross' beautiful Emberglo on Emberglo convert.- Editor

Scott Gerwig Scott was looking for a 1966 XL convertible, and placed an ad. Here's his story. "A guy calls me up and says, I have a 500 convertible, but it's a 7 Litre.  A little banged up, needs a top, some interior work, but I need to get rid of it, the wife is pregnant.  And oh, by the way, it is a 4 speed, hope you don't mind.  This guy is in Wisconsin so  I made it up that way to look at it, and indeed, a lot of work was needed, but was drivable.  He wanted a bit much for it, so I tell him I need to think about it, and ended up calling him when we got back to Colorado a month later. We neded up agreeing on a price. The car has A/C, and a power drivers seat. The original motor is long gone.  The paint and pin stripe is original, except where there is previous damage.  But it is about 60% original paint.  Emberglo, with Parchment interior.  I have put new carpet in it, replaced the rear floor pans, rebuilt transmission, new tires, a new exhaust system with Flowmasters.
