Engine compartment is detailed and body ready for final clearcoat

Jay opted to have the seating surfaces finished in leather to help combat the extreme heat from those hot LA Summer days. David Solomon from Stitchcorp was called in. He created exact reproductions of the stock seats using the leather material in the stock patterns. One issue was the trim on the door panels, as the originals were trimmed in anodized aluminum. These pieces are not reproduced.David opted to have the originals buffed out and re anodized. Work is progressing on Jay's 7-Litre. Suspension parts are on order, but the body is back on the frame, many of the exterior parts are on the car, and they are working on the interior. Jay ordered the factory original 4 resonator system from our friend Joe Tonietto at Waldron exhaust. After getting the engine installed and the fenders back on, the realized that the stock exhaust had to be altered as they had made some frame upgrades. Also the hood will not close with those custom Air Cleaners they got, so Jay is trying to see if he can get custom ones, because he doesn't want to go with any kind of hood scoop. He would like the car to look as factory stock as possible from the outside. (This was the status as of March 5th, 2010)
